Where do we meet?
We meet bi-weekly in Room 3 which is also the TJ chemistry lab. In the event of any room
change, be sure to check Ion.
What can I expect to learn?
You’ll dive into topics ranging from Brownian motion and nanoscale simulations to innovative
problem-solving and research-driven thinking. Our club gives you a chance to learn how tiny particles shape
big ideas in physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering.
Will I need to install anything on my computer?
Usually no. A browser and a school laptop/desktop are enough. If we ever need specific
software, we’ll announce it ahead of time with easy instructions.
What if I have no experience?
No worries, you have to start somewhere; many of our officers once had no knowledge of
nanotechnology. We will teach you everything you need to know. What matters much more in nanotechnology is a
strong willigness to learn and adapt to new concepts.
Can I ask questions outside of meetings?
Absolutely. Just contact an officer and we'll be happy to answer your question.
Do I need to take a previous session before joining an advanced one?
We don’t enforce prerequisites. If you feel ready for an advanced topic, you’re welcome to
join; reviewing our materials first is recommended.
Are there any items I need to sign for club labs?
Nope. This will never be the case.
How do I join the officer team?
The following is subject to change, be sure to look here often to see any modifications
(we'll also announce if anything changes too). For the 2025-26 school year, to be eligible, you must give a
guest lecture that comes with either a handout or a simulation, and have attended at least 7 meetings. Then,
officers will choose the best candidates from the pool of eligible members.
